JERRY YUDELSON, PE, MS, MBA, LEED AP
Known as one of the country's leading experts on green
buildings and green building marketing, Jerry leads the consulting team at
Yudelson Associates. He has served on the national board of the U.S. Green
Building Council (USGBC) and co-founded the first regional chapter in the
Pacific Northwest. A registered professional engineer, he is an expert
in the LEED® Green Building rating system, and provides his clients with expert
guidance on creating, developing, designing and marketing green building
projects. Jerry's clients include property developers and building
owners, architects and consulting engineering firms, retailers, manufacturers
and trade associations.
As Sustainability Director for a large regional engineering
firm for five years, Jerry assisted project teams with sustainable design and
marketing services for commercial and institutional building projects, with a
special focus on commercial offices, higher education, housing and public
facilities. He facilitates "eco-charrettes" and "visioning sessions"
for clients. Since 2001, Jerry has trained more than 3,000 people in the LEED®
Green Building rating system. For the U.S. Green Building Council, he chairs the Steering
Committee for Greenbuild 2004 - 2007, the world's largest
green building conferences.
Jerry was co-founder and director of the Green Building Servicesconsulting
unit of Portland General Electric. He has managed environmental and energy
studies for a variety of clients, including state and local governments, utilities, and
federal agencies. Jerry brings a unique capacity for effective communications to
each project. In 2004, Jerry's work was recognized with the "Better Bricks"
award of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, as "Green Building Advocate"
of the year. He was also named in 2006 as a national "peer professional" by the
U.S. General Services Administration. His speaking and workshop engagements
allow him to reach thousands of people every year.
