Mr. Buchalter has worked in the real estate development management and construction field for over 25 years.  He is currently president of Capital Growth Buchalter, Inc., which is a general contractor, management and development company.  As well, he is the managing member or general partner for over fifty real estate development limited liability companies or partnerships.   These for the most part consist of retail, office warehouse, commercial office and medical field related developments in the state of Alabama as well as Mississippi, Florida, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, Georgia, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota.

 

Previously, Mr. Buchalter and The Buchalter Company Inc. have developed and/or acquired in excess of $300,000,000 in properties in many asset categories.  Mr. Buchalter has been involved in the development of approximately 275 free standing Dollar General retail build-to-suit in the states of Alabama, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Louisiana, Iowa, Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri comprising approximately 2,470,000 square feet with approximate value of $235,000,000.

 

In addition, Mr. Buchalter has been involved in the ground-up, new development and re-development of approximately 30 retail shopping centers and retail strip centers comprising approximately 1,300,000 square feet located in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, and Mississippi with approximate values in the $150,000,000 range.

 

Mr. Buchalter has been involved in multi-family and master planned residential communities in the state of Alabama comprising in excess of $70,000,000 in value.  Mr. Buchalter has been involved in new office and office/warehouse development in the states of Alabama and Louisiana in excess of 100,000 square feet with approximate values of $15,000,000.  Mr. Buchalter has been involved with raising equity for deals in the $15,000,000 to $20,000,000 range.

 

A partial list of past and present clients include Blockbuster Video, Office Depot, Dollar General Corporation, CVS Drug Stores, Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Sonic Drive-In, Papa John’s Pizza, Movie Gallery, Consolidated Electrical Distributors, the U.S. Government, Domino’s Pizza, Dollar Tree, Northport Health Services, Rent-A-Center, Publix Grocery, Sav-o-Lot, Bruno’s, McDonald’s and Burger King.  He has also been involved in the development, construction, and ownership of apartment and student condominium developments.  As well, he has been involved with development and ownership of a number of residential lot subdivisions, tax credit multifamily projects, and the acquisition and redevelopment of neighborhood shopping centers.
