Dick Ward comes to Capital Growth Madison Marquette with 25 years of real estate industry experience. As Senior
Vice President, Acquisitions and Investments, he is responsible for identifying, negotiating and recommending the
acquisition of and/or investment in real estate properties, portfolios and other income or value-creating opportunities.
Ward was previously with Capps Companies, Inc., where he served as Vice President. There he was responsible for
developing strategic plans for property owners and developers to maximize their return on investment; structuring,
preparing and negotiating commercial property leases; negotiating and executing profitable sales.
Ward's commercial real estate experience includes 13 years with General Growth Properties where he rose to
the position of Senior Vice President of Management. In that role he managed a property portfolio of
30 million square feet and oversaw regional leasing, management and marketing teams.
Ward majored in accounting at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. He is a member of the International
Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA). He is a
licensed Realtor in the states of Minnesota and Iowa and has the Senior Certified Shopping Center
Manager designation from ICSC.
